In today’s world, where wars and conflicts continue without end, we once again long for peace. Pope Leo XIV has invited us all, saying, “We lift up our humble prayer to the Lord, so that the thunderous sound of bombs may cease, weapons may fall silent, and a space for dialogue may open up in which the voice of the people can be heard.”

Responding to this heartfelt appeal, and in celebration of May, the Month of Mary, the WYD Seoul 2027 Local Organizing Committee has prepared “Young People Singing for Peace with Our Lady.” Through this liturgy, young people from Korea and around the world will entrust our prayers to Mary, Queen of Peace, and remember those who suffer because of war.

We will also ask for the courage and wisdom to stop the cycle of violence and to move toward one another with open hearts. Together, we will share our commitment to practicing peace in our own places.
